The challenge of the project is to integrate buildings within a remarkable and exciting architectural and landscape ensemble. To meet these constraints and reduce the impact, the gymnasium is semi-underground.

Strong points

  • Treatment of natural lighting to avoid glare and ensure a soft and well-distributed diffusion on the areas of movement
  • Significant integration into the site (secondary school with 900 students) with in particular the reduction of the impact of the building thanks to semi-burial
  • Architectural treatment to avoid the feeling of burial felt from inside the building: vegetated peripheral fault
  • Work on horizontal and vertical circulations (sets of flights of stairs treated as an object) to “show” the practice of athletes
