SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

  • Building entirely in wood, delivered on site and assembled by local associations
  • Building adapted to the specific climatic conditions of Uganda: roof insulated and protected from the sun by photovoltaic panels, and architectural elements (roof overhangs, sunshades) providing protection against the sun and rain
  • Quality of natural lighting provided by large exterior joinery avoiding overheating and good distribution of light in the center of the room (sunshades acting as a light ladder)
  • Energy autonomy ensured by photovoltaic panels on the roof and electricity storage ensured by batteries
  • Treatment of effluents by autonomous system allowing the use of sludge as agricultural fertilizer
  • Rainwater recovery for use in sanitary facilities
